Podcasts are increasing in popularity, and a podcast series or podcast-style course is a convenient way for people to listen, learn, process, share stories, and gain inspiration. I enjoy producing podcasts and working with subject matter experts to record engaging conversations that enhance the learning experience.
Below are a couple examples of podcasts I’ve created.
Technology Used: Audacity, Google Meet, Articulate Rise, Adobe Illustrator, SoundCloud
Example 1 – I designed and developed a two-part learning experience for a client on the topic of LGBTQI+ inclusion: LGBTQI+ 101 (an eLearning course) and LGBTQI+ 102 (a podcast course). The 101 training was more foundational in covering the “what” and “why” of the topic, while the 102 focused on the “how” through use of expert voices from the field and providing an opportunity to learn through the experiences and stories they shared.
Example 2 – The Between Two Baobab Trees is a podcast series about the impact of climate change on global health. It includes new episodes being added periodically as well as hosting of the episodes on SoundCloud for easier, more convenient access. In this project, I had the opportunity to meet climate change experts from around the world and to include them in the podcast episodes as guest speakers.
